Having over come the seemingly hopeless endeavor of entering the grandline, the Straw hat's captain found his self proclaimed seat upon the Going Merry's figure head.
Only a few minutes before they had been riding a stream straight up a mountain, facing what they had believed to be certain doom. The event had worn (Y/n) out considerably, and so she chose to laze on deck.
Luffy was about ready to explode with the amount of excitement boiling inside.
A loud sound which was a cross somewhere between a pant and water being sprayed from a hose caught everyone aside from Luffy's attention.
"Is it just me...or did you guys hear something?" Zoro muttered quietly, his hand instinctively reaching down to the swords sheathed safely at his side. Luffy, completely ignoring everything in hopes of finding some kind of action to sate his craving for adventure, threw his fist into the air carelessly.
"Don't worry about it, let's just GO!!!!!" Luffy exclaimed excitedly, kicking the going merry's figure head like an impatient child on a motionless merry go round.
(Y/n) drowned out the Straw hats bickering, focusing her hearing and honing her eyesight.
Everything seemed in order, as far as she could tell. There where no immediate red lines, blue lines or black lines. Which meant there where no gruesome deaths awaiting them, but that could change at any moment.
It was then that the sound filled (y/n)'s ears again, only this time it was louder.
Squinting his eyes in order of getting a better view, Luffy placed a hand to his forehead to block out the blinding sunlight.
It was some kind of creature, (y/n) knew that for sure. It did not seem hostile, unlike the aggressive nature of sea kings.
"IT'S NOT A MOUNTAIN! IT'S A GIANT WHALE!"
